NERVOUS is a 6-colour screen print drawn from the Heroes & Villains collection presented during their 2025 exhibition at the Museum of Graffiti during Miami Art Week, capturing a shared self-portrait of the artists as villains striving to be heroes.

Through bold linework, exaggerated expression, and a deliberately disarming palette, the central figure sits in a state of tension. Its stretched red mouth hovering between a forced grin and a suppressed scream, reflecting the instability beneath the surface. The work explores the idea that villainy can stem from internal conflict rather than intent, where aggression and even violence become misguided attempts at healing, revealing the complexity of identity and the friction between aspiration and instinct.

Opake

OPAKE (born Ed Worley) is a London-based contemporary artist whose work merges graffiti, pop iconography, and autobiographical narrative. Reworking familiar cartoon figures such as Mickey Mouse and the Pink Panther, he explores themes of mental health, addiction, and the fragmentation of popular culture—an approach he describes as the “disintegration of pop culture.” His compositions are defined by bold colour, repetition, and layered imagery, creating a dynamic tension between familiarity and collapse.

Opake’s practice is rooted in personal experience, shaped by his journey through addiction and recovery. Repetition and visual density function as metaphors for compulsion, psychological overload, and transformation, translating lived experience into a disciplined and expressive visual language.

Recently, Opake has expanded his international profile through collaborations with SLAWN, including a joint exhibition in Miami, positioning his work within a broader global contemporary dialogue. With a growing international collector base and strong institutional appeal, Opake offers a compelling balance of conceptual depth, visual immediacy, and cross-cultural relevance
