« This artwork “London” is part of my work on the riots in the world. At the time of these riots, I was extremely disturbed by the violence that came along with it. Who are these young people who have nothing to lose and ready to do anything? Including setting fire in London. If I had grown up with them, could I have a join them in their fight? The riots fascinate me and terrify me at the same time. Pointillism tedious process that I practice allows me to ponder all these questions… I also try on the other hand to pay tribute to the wonderful work of these photo reporters present during these events, and thus get inspiration from their works. » Kan
It was as an adolescent that Kan discovered graffiti. His meeting with Bom K pushed him to join the mythical DMV (Da Mental Vaporz) group. Defining himself as a “Street Pointillist”, Kan went on to develop an innovative aesthetic.
Combining his passion for computing (or IT) and design with the traditional Graffiti technique, he established his reputation in a thousand and one ways. A complete and multidisciplinary artist, he produced several short films in collaboration with Lek and Sowat: “156,000”, “Direct Tracks” and “Mausoleum”.
Kan has been exhibiting in France since 2004 and since 2010 abroad (England, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia, Germany, South Korea, United States – San Francisco). In recent years, he has been participating in major French events such as “Mausoleum” and “Lasco Project” at the Tokyo Palace, then “Tour 13”.
