A never-ending story, a story of my journey.
People look at it and they’ve labeled it as it’s been my punishment, the punishment series.
Why the punishment series? When you look at the lithograph the first thing you see is my name. It brought back memories when I used to pain my name everywhere in the trains. The art of calligraphy – writing my name. It also goes back when I was in school and to punish me the teachers had been giving me to write stuff like, for example, pages from the dictionary.
The graffiti, for me, is something really personal. It takes me to so many places and opened so many doors for me and this is the part, which is really shiny, but it’s always two ways. Sometimes I feel like I am carrying a cross and that’s the part where the punishment comes.
Sparkles make the lithograph look like diamonds – diamond dust; and that’s why I call it “Visions of an angel”…
