“The printing house is amazing, the history, the different labels, the different production, the machinery is really impressive. I’ve been screen printing for over 10 years now and I’m really quite naïve to lithography so it was great to talk with your team and to understand how you register the print, to watch the big wheels turning with the paint and paper come out. It’s been phenomenal, I’d like to come back and really watch more as well of how the printing process goes. So this has been just fantastic. The smells in here as well, in all the different cabinets, you can just feel the history that goes on and has been going on in this building. So it’s really a privilege to be a part of this journey with you guys and the printing house as well. I’m honored to have a print made here.
The design and title “Lazy Target” that we chose, I really enjoy the part of the target falling over giving you that effect that there is some depth within the print. There is also a lot of humor in that because as with a target you really try to aim for a specific goal and it’s kind of like taking not being so critical, like not trying so hard, it’s ok if things maybe don’t go correct with aiming for your target. I just really enjoy the shape and graphic design of it as well. I’m really attracted to circles and also all even lines, like black and white, or in this case, colors. This print for me is really fun, I look at it and I smile, it makes me very happy, it’s really playful. I love the size of it, it’s really graphic, it just stares, and it really comes out on the wall. I really like the colors too : I really like red, white, blue and cream, these are really fun colors to play with. I’m really happy and excited about it.” Tavar Zawacki
